High Talent, High Energy, High Level
Minneapolis Commodores Xtreme is for singers who want to participate in a high energy men’s a capella experience and produce high level performances.
MCX performs a broad range of barbershop arrangements and is an auditioned chorus that requires above average singing, musicianship, and performance skills.
MCX is designed for guys 18 to 80 who want a high-level chorus experience while being able to optimize their participation time. See more below…
MCX Is A Unique Approach
MCX was designed for talented singers with a busy lifestyle:
MCX will rehearse on the 3rd Tuesday of every month
There is an audition requirement of learning and performing a selected MCX song for the directors
It is expected the MCX members learn their music ahead of time from charts and learning tracks
MCX is part of the Minneapolis Chapter and all MCX members are also Commodores members
MCX members are expected to attend every MCX rehearsal and one Commodores rehearsal a month
In order to be eligible for performances, an MCX singer must be in attendance for 80% of these rehearsals
MCX will become a registered Chorus of the Minneapolis Chapter and may perform separately in shows and contests
